SKILLSFUTURE WORK-STUDY PROGRAMMES

The SkillsFuture Work-Study Programmes (WSP) offer various work-study opportunities for Singaporeans.

What is it?

The SkillsFuture Work-Study Certificate (WSCert) is part of the suite of SkillsFuture Work-Study Programmes (WSPs) offered by Institute of Higher Learning (IHLs) and appointed private training providers. WSCert provide individuals with more opportunities, to develop new skills and knowledge, and build on what they have acquired in school, through a work-study arrangement.

Participating employers can recruit local graduates and prepare them to take up suitable job roles. The programme is designed in collaboration with industry to ensure relevance to employers in the sector.

Who is it for?

WSCert (Modular Certificate and WSQ Certificate)

For Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents who are within three years of either graduation from the ITE and Polytechnics or the Operational Ready Date for full-time National Servicemen.

WSCert in Digital Marketing & Branding / for Engineer 4.0 / for Customer Service Associate

For Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents who are keen to undergo an 6 to 12 weeks’ institution-based training programme before seeking employment in sectors with jobs in acute demand.

How does it work?

WSCert (Modular Certificate and WSQ Certificate)

You will be matched with a job related to your discipline of study and undergo a 12- to 18-month structured training programme, depending on the programme, sector and job requirements. The programme includes facilitated learning, on-the-job training and work-based projects, to allow you to deepen your skill sets at the workplace. You will have an assigned mentor at the workplace and enjoy a well-structured career progression pathway, in line with the company’s talent development plan. At the end of the programme, you will receive an industry-recognised certificate and potential wage progression or career advancement based on performance.

WSCert in Digital Marketing & Branding / for Engineer 4.0 / for Customer Service Associate

You will undergo a recruitment screening process to assess your suitability for the Programme, before you embark on an 6 to 12 weeks of institution-based training at the Polytechnics and ITE. You will acquire behavioural, mind-set and technical skills related to a specific job role so that you are well-equipped and ready to seek employment with a participating company upon completion of training. At the company, assigned mentors will guide you and provide support in your continual skills development.

  • Receive a training allowance upon completion of training
  • Receive guidance from mentors within the company

The SkillsFuture Work-Study Diploma (WSDip) is part of the suite of SkillsFuture Work-Study Programmes (WSPs) offered by Institute of Higher Learning (IHLs) and appointed private training providers. Targeted at fresh graduates from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), WSDip provides them with a head-start in their careers related to their discipline of study and more opportunities to build on the skills and knowledge they acquired in school through a work-study arrangement.

Participating employers can recruit local fresh graduates and prepare them to take up suitable job roles. The programme is designed in collaboration with industry to ensure relevance to employers in the sector. Participants in the programme can look forward to a structured career progression pathway within the organisation.

Who is it for?

The SkillsFuture Work-Study Diploma (WSDip) is for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents who are within three years of (i) graduation from ITE or (ii) Operationally Ready Date for full-time National Servicemen.

How does it work?

You will be matched with a job related to your discipline of study and undergo a 36-month structured training programme, depending on the programme, sector and job requirements. The programme includes facilitated learning, on-the-job training and work-based projects, to allow you to deepen your skill sets at the workplace. You will have an assigned mentor at the workplace and enjoy a well-structured career progression pathway, in line with the company’s talent development plan. At the end of the programme, you will receive an industry-recognised Diploma qualification, and potential wage progression or career advancement based on performance.

Articulation pathways into Post-Diploma programmes in Polytechnics are also available for selected Work-Study Diploma (WSDip) programmes.

Suitable candidates will be matched with a job related to their field of study and undergo structured on-the-job training and mentorship in your company. They will also benefit from a well-structured career development pathway and guidance from mentors who will support their continual skills development, through your company’s talent development plan.
