Overview

The international shipping industry is responsible for the carriage of around 90% of world trade. Maritime transport is the backbone of global trade and the global economy. Without shipping, intercontinental trade, the bulk transport of raw materials, and the import/export of affordable food and manufactured goods would simply not be possible.

About ICS: As a major provider of education and training, the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) sets and examines the syllabus for membership, providing the shipping industry with highly qualified professionals. ICS is the only internationally recognized professional body in the maritime arena and it represents shipbrokers, ship managers, agents, insurance, lawyers, logistics and other shipping professionals throughout the world. Our mission is to promote maritime education in the hope of grooming more young talents to join, work and stay in the shipping industry. •The Work-Study Post-Diploma Programme for Shipowning , Operating and Broking  is a 18-month work-study programme that aims to provides them with a head-start in their careers related to their discipline of study and more opportunities to build on the skills and knowledge they acquired in school through a work-study arrangement in Shipbroking company, ship owners, ship management company, ship agency etc..


Course Structure

Participants will be awarded the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Membership Certificate upon successful completion of the following Professional Qualifying Examinations (7 subjects)
