This 12-month TP-BCAA Work-Study Post-Diploma leading to Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modeling (BIM) Construction & Asset Management is designed for polytechnic graduates who will undergo skills-based modules from Building Construction Authority Academy (BCAA) and Temasek Polytechnic (TP) while working in the industry. The aim of the programme is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to be proficient in virtual designs and how Building Information Modeling (BIM) functions in the different stages of building life cycle. 

Upon completing the 2 Post-Diploma Certificates (PDCs) under this programme, participants should be able to:
a) demonstrate practical and academic knowledge required to complement their working experience in the area of BIM digital design, BIM asset management as well as in BIM construction planning and management;
b) apply academic knowledge in working on BIM projects with industry standard BIM collaboration platforms/tools; and
c) understand the various BCA standards and guidelines related to BIM including undertaking the BIM e-submissions to various statutory boards required in the building construction and/or facility management project.

At the entry level, the job positions are BIM- Associates / Modeler / Project Engineer / Engineer / Coordinator^[1]. Upon completing the course under the Work-Study Post-Diploma programme, graduates can move on as a BIM- Senior Associate. They can also look forward to upgrading their knowledge and skills through further CET and executive programmes offered by local Institutes of Higher Learning.

Graduates have the option to continue with the pursuit of Bachelor Degree programmes offered by BCA Academy and SIT - Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (with up to 30 credit units of credit exemptions).

Participants who have successfully completed and obtained a minimum pass grade for all the subjects in any of the post-diploma certificates will be awarded a Post-Diploma Certificate (PDC) in the specific domain area. The Specialist Diploma in BIM Construction & Asset Management will be awarded jointly by TP and BCAA to participants who have successfully completed and obtained a pass grade for all the required subjects in both PDCs.

The assessment will be based on a combination of coursework components such as practical tests, case studies, presentations, assignments and projects.

Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents who are within three years of either graduation from the Polytechnic or BCAA or the Operationally Ready Date (ORD) for National Servicemen from the following full-time programmes are eligible to apply.

Full Course Fees for WSPostDip (excluding GST)*: $5,712.00

MOE subsidy will not be applicable for students who repeat a module or semester.
Fees payable is based on per PDC.
The course fees will be reviewed by MOE on an annual basis and adjusted accordingly.
