Singapore continues to be a leading destination for events and conferences; and is ranked annually by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and Union of International Associations (ICA) to be among the top cities in the world for association conventions and meetings. The Singapore Tourism Board has also identified that there is an opportunity to leverage on Singapore’s position as an educational hub through the development of executive education and corporate training events.
This 12-month Work-Study Post-Diploma Programme leading to the Specialist Diploma in MICE & Events Management aims to deepen participants’ knowledge and skills while in their first year of entering the industry.
Upon completing the course, graduates should be able to:
a) Apply strategies, skills and services related to the hosting of MICE-related events in the hospitality sector.
b) Apply an operations framework for fairs, exhibitions and events.
c) Develop compelling content and differentiated experiences for the MICE and events sector.
d) Attract and manage a portfolio of sponsors to achieve event outcomes.
e) Manage projects using a project management framework.
f) Apply concepts of revenue management in MICE/events, tourism and travel operations.
g) Use of digital media as a marketing platform in consumer engagement and to achieve marketing objectives.
At the entry level, the job position is a Events Executive / Events Co-ordinator. Upon completing the programme, graduates can look forward to taking up some of the possible types of positions:

Graduates may also look forward to wage increment and role expansion in their workplace, subject to their work performance.
